Université Laval invites applications for a Canada Impact+ Research Chair (CI+RC) in Economics, Disability, Social Policy, and Human Development. The successful candidate will be attached to the Département d'économique and will be expected to collaborate closely with faculty members from other units, including the School of Social Work and Criminology, the School of Rehabilitation Sciences, and the Department of Foundations and Practices in Education.

The person selected must successfully pass an internal selection process at Université Laval as well as national selection as part of the CI+RC competition. The successful candidate will receive $8 million in funding over 8 years (i.e., $1 million per year) from the CI+RC Program including Chairholder’s salary and overhead. Note that only candidates who are internationally based (both working and residing outside of Canada) at the time of the intake’s application deadline are eligible to apply.

The deadline for application is February 18, 2026, results will be announced in June 2026 and funding will be made avalable in September.
