The American Institutes for Research (AIR) is seeking a Senior Researcher, Monitoring & Compliance to join our Health Transformation Team. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced researchers passionate about strengthening healthcare quality, promoting equity, and ensuring accountability across major federal programs like Medicare and Medicaid.

In this role, you will lead monitoring and compliance efforts by designing and executing audit and analytic plans, interpreting policy to develop measures and protocols, and overseeing complex data analyses. You will prepare high quality technical reports and visualizations, clearly communicating findings to both technical and policy audiences, and ensuring strict QA/QC processes. You will manage budgets and timelines, supervising and mentoring research staff, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to proposal development.

Ideal candidates bring advanced education (Ph.D. or Master’s with substantial experience), strong statistical and coding comprehension, experience with federal program monitoring, and CMS experience is a strong plus. This position may be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States. This does not include U.S. territories.

Salary Range: $122,070 – $162,760
