The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) invites applications for an open‑rank faculty position in Economics as part of the Synergies for Sustainability Cluster. This interdisciplinary initiative strengthens UTA’s leadership in tackling global sustainability challenges by advancing research in environmental economics, climate resilience, sustainable development, and the circular economy.
Successful candidates will join a cluster of scholars from the College of Business, College of Liberal Arts, and College of Architecture, Planning, and Public Affairs. Faculty will contribute to rigorous research on the economic impacts of environmental regulation, energy transitions, natural resource management, and the valuation of ecosystem services while partnering with experts in environmental science, public policy, design, and planning.
Applicants should demonstrate a strong research record or strong potential for developing a well‑funded research program, along with a commitment to high‑quality teaching and student mentorship. Appointments begin September 1, 2026.
