Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor in Department of Economics
The Department of Economics within the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs, a full member of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA), at Florida International University is looking to hire an Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor. The start date will be August 2026. Successful candidates must demonstrate their potential for excellence in teaching. Candidates will be expected to teach courses that contribute to our core curriculum and elective offerings. The teaching expectations will be up to eight courses spread across two academic semesters, with the potential to count big classes as multiple sections of the same course toward this total load. While the area of expertise is open, teaching expectations will include core introductory and intermediate level courses with opportunities to teach upper-level courses in the economist’s areas of interest. Salary is nationally competitive and commensurate with experience. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in economics by the start of their appointment.
