The Department of Economics at Macalester College invites applications for a full-time tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin in the 2027-28 academic year. We seek candidates with teaching and research interests in Behavioral Economics. Macalester College values a strong commitment to research, a promise of successful scholarly engagement, and dedication to teaching excellence in a liberal arts environment. A Ph.D. degree is expected by August 2027.

Macalester provides an attractive environment for economists. We offer a vibrant, engaged and collegial environment in the heart of the Twin Cities. We currently offer the largest single major on campus, and have a track record of exceptional undergraduate research collaboration. Macalester faculty teach five semester course sections per year (typically two to three distinct courses), supervise honors theses, maintain an active scholarly agenda, and engage in departmental activities.
