The Economics Department seeks an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor of Practice (non-tenure track) beginning August 2016. This faculty member will be an integral part of the Department and its long-term commitment to teaching excellence. The Professor of Practice will provide leadership to and participate in teaching introductory international economics as well as other courses depending on department or college needs, and candidate interests. This position has a multi-year contract, renewable subject to performance. Teaching responsibilities typically are 9 hours per semester.
Minimum requirements at the Assistant Professor of Practice level are a Ph.D. in Economics (or related field) at the beginning of appointment, demonstrated accomplishment in teaching economics as the instructor of record, and strong interest in teaching international economics. Preferred requirement at the Assistant Professor of Practice level is demonstrated accomplishment in teaching international economics.
Minimum requirements at the Associate or Full Professor of Practice level are a Ph.D. in Economics (or related field) and a demonstrated record of sustained accomplishment in teaching international economics at the undergraduate level that is commensurate with rank. Preferred requirement at the Associate or Full Professor of Practice levels is a demonstrated record of teaching excellence that is commensurate with rank.
Consideration of candidates will begin October 30, 2015 and continue until the position is filled or the search is closed. The Department will be interviewing selected candidates at the 2016 ASSA meetings.
