Position is a non-tenure track Scholar-in-Residence in support of new curricular and research initiatives concerning markets, ethics and social responsibility and their fundamental impact on business and society. Candidates’ training and research can come from business, social science, or legal disciplines but should fit within one or more of the focal topics of the initiative: Scarcity and Property Rights; Fairness and Equality; Liberty and Externalities; Trade; Competition and Monopoly; Intellectual Property Rights; and Globalization. Responsibilities include curriculum development, teaching four to seven introductory and elective classes (undergraduate and master’s level) and supporting related research initiatives. The scholar will be rostered in a Leeds division: Accounting; Finance; Marketing; Organizational Leadership and Information Analytics; or Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Operations.
Qualifications:
1) Graduate degree (MS, JD or PhD) in a related field studying the topics above, demonstrating exposure to connections between property rights and markets and broader multidisciplinary issues of related history and current context.
2) PhD preferred.
3) Priority will be given to candidates with previous teaching experience in related fields and to candidates with related research background
The potentially multi-year appointment will begin as early as August 2018.
