Rice University's Baker Institute for Public Policy seeks a post-doctoral fellow to join the Institute’s Center for Health and Biosciences to support its research program in domestic health policy. The primary responsibility will be assisting the CHB’s director in conducting research on the cost and quality effects of Direct Primary Care, healthcare market consolidation, and new provider entry. Tasks include identification and acquisition of appropriate databases, preparation of databases for analysis, execution of statistical analyses, and assistance in writing manuscripts.
Candidates with a PhD in economics, health policy, or related field are encouraged to apply. Candidates expected to receive a PhD by Sept 1, 2018 are also eligible to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in analysis of population-based surveys or health care claims databases, synthesis of health economics or health-related literature, multivariate regression analysis using STATA or SAS, and familiarity with other data analysis software.
