Humboldt State University’s Department of Economics invites applications for one temporary faculty position in Economics for AY 2018-19. An earned PhD in Economics preferred. Successful candidate will be a versatile generalist with potential to teach a broad range of economics courses that include strong interdisciplinary linkages, and must demonstrate the following: Successful college or university-level instructional experience in economics; potential to teach students from a broad range of majors and levels of academic preparation; commitment to and/or experience promoting and fostering a learning environment that is supportive of individuals from diverse backgrounds; and potential for effective teaching or teaching experience using a variety of methodologies. Teaching responsibilities may include: Principles of Economics; Intermediate Macroeconomics; Intermediate Microeconomics; Money and Banking; and International Economics. Humboldt State is located 270 miles north of San Francisco in the small coastal town of Arcata.
