The California Policy Lab is seeking a full-time Post-Doctoral Fellow to build and lead a portfolio of applied research projects in association with faculty members focused on labor and workforce development. In this role, the Post-Doctoral Fellow will contribute to all phases of the research process including: writing the scientific and methodological content of research proposals; conducting quantitative analyses, co-authoring papers for submission to academic journals, and assisting in dissemination and outreach. The Post-Doctoral Fellow will report to the Faculty Director and work collaboratively with other CPL researchers, staff, and partner agencies. The term of this position is 12 months, with the possibility of renewal for up to 24 additional months.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent training in public policy, economics, statistics, computer science, or other relevant field with substantial policy and research experience. The successful candidate will have experience in all aspects of the research design, methods, and evaluation of research projects in workforce development or a related area of social policy and an interest in finding and testing innovative solutions to problems facing California policymakers and citizens. Preference will be given to those with proven experience working with interdisciplinary research teams and agency and community stakeholders.
