Department of Economics invites applications for one tenured position as Associate Professor of Economics starting on July 1, 2019 or later. Applicants must have outstanding research records in industrial organization (preferably, empirical ones).

Applicants should have a PhD degree before (or immediately after) taking up the position. Major responsibilities besides excellent research include teaching IO and other courses depending on our curriculum needs and their expertise in our undergraduate and graduate programs.

Applicants must be fluent in Japanese. Applicants whose native language is not Japanese and who has not earned a degree in Japanese-speaking institutions must explain how they have learned Japanese. This memo must be prepared in Japanese.

Early applications are encouraged. The deadline of applications is June 25, 2018, but we may start reviewing applications earlier and quit the search anytime.

Reference letters and teaching evaluations are not required but preferred.
