Regional Economist – ILR Cornell Buffalo Co-Lab

The ILR School at Cornell University seeks a regionally focused economist to provide research and insight, contribute to public discourse, engagement and education, and support the School's strategic mission and core values.

Based in the ILR Cornell Buffalo Co-Lab, this is an exciting opportunity for an economist looking to dive deep into Western New York State, analyzing work related issues within the context of NYS and U.S. trends, and through the lens of improving sustainable, equitable economic development. The successful candidate will be responsible for publishing research reports, high-quality content in practitioner, policy or media outlets, and scholarly articles.

Community outreach based on objective analysis of economic, labor market, and demographic trends will support scholarly and public understanding of regional economic trends and contemporary work issues, with particular focus on regenerative economic development in Greater Buffalo and other upstate metros of New York State. This is not a tenure-track position.
