The School of Economics at the Georgia Institute of Technology seeks to hire an applied econometrician with a strong theoretical background. The successful candidate will focus on microeconometrics, demonstrate a strong interest in applied topics, and work in areas that have high synergistic potential with the School’s faculty. Applicants at the advanced Assistant or Associate Professor level are particularly encouraged to apply. Teaching in the Ph.D. econometrics sequence, as well at the Master’s and undergraduate levels, is expected. Special consideration will be given to candidates with strengths in panel data and big data methods, and to candidates who are likely to collaborate with other faculty at Georgia Tech.

Georgia Tech is a Research I institution, ranked 8th nationally among public universities, and offers significant opportunities for collaborative research and teaching across complementary disciplines such as computing, industrial and systems engineering, electrical and environmental engineering, international affairs, public policy, urban planning and management.

Applicants must have received a Ph.D. in economics or a related field prior to employment. Senior applicants should have a record of excellence in scholarship and teaching commensurate with their rank. Junior applicants should show promise for both research and teaching excellence.
