The School of Economics at the Georgia Institute of Technology seeks to hire a theorist with a research focus in microeconomic theory and commensurate ability to teach in the Ph.D. microeconomic theory sequence. Researchers with interests in mechanism design, search, learning, network formation and analysis, or the economics of contracts are particularly welcome. We are especially interested in candidates at the advanced assistant or early associate level with proven research track records, as well as in candidates who are likely to collaborate with other faculty within the School of Economics and across the university.

Georgia Tech is a Research I institution, ranked 8th nationally among public universities, and offering significant opportunities for collaborative research and teaching across complementary disciplines such as computing, industrial and systems engineering, electrical and environmental engineering, international affairs, public policy, urban planning, and management.

Applicants must have received a Ph.D. in economics or a related field prior to employment and have a record of excellence in teaching. Senior applicants should have a record of excellence in scholarship and teaching commensurate with their rank. Junior applicants should show promise for both research and teaching excellence.
