The Department of Economics in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University is seeking to fill a position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Applied Microeconomics. This tenure-track position is a 9-month academic appointment with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2024. We are open to coordinating hires with the separately-advertised tenured positions for candidates with research complementarities.

In addition to publishing in leading journals, the successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise graduate students, as well as participate in the applied microeconomics workshop, serve on an appropriate department committee, and be involved as a member of Ph.D. dissertation committees.

This position requires a Ph.D. in economics or a related field. All appointees are expected to be committed to teaching and research of the highest quality. Preference will be given to scholars who use structural techniques to examine questions in public and labor economics, including but not limited to topics such as education, labor markets, health insurance, pensions, and taxation.
