The field “Macroeconomics and Blockchain” is broadly understood. It includes (but is not restricted to) questions related to the opportunities and challenges created by digital currencies and payment systems for financial markets and the macro-economy as a whole. The successful candidate will be an active representative of the field in both research and teaching.

We are looking for a researcher with a promising international research profile who holds a PhD in Economics (or related fields such as Finance) by the time of appointment at the latest. The successful candidate will actively contribute to the further development of the Faculty as well as the newly established University Centre for Blockchain Research. A willingness to acquire a working knowledge of German within a reasonable timeframe is expected.

The Faculty of Economics aims to increase the proportion of women in research and teaching. Therefore, any qualified underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to apply. In the interest of better compatibility between professional and family life, the position can also be filled on a part-time basis (75% minimum).
