Call for Papers: 2025 Stanford Financial Education Symposium

The Stanford Initiative for Financial Decision-Making (IFDM) and the National Endowment for Financial Education are happy to announce the 2025 edition of the Stanford Financial Education Symposium (formerly Cherry Blossom Financial Education Institute). It will be held on April 10-11, 2025, during Financial Literacy Month in the US, at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

We welcome research addressing all types of financial education: programs in primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities, workplaces, and other venues. The Symposium is particularly interested in papers that assess the effectiveness of financial education and its influence on financial behavior and other outcomes. Academic faculty and researchers in economics and related fields studying financial education are encouraged to submit papers.

We also welcome the submission of abstracts or papers from advanced PhD students. If selected, student abstracts/papers may be part of a special session dedicated to student research and a student poster session.

Two research awards will be selected:
1. Financial Literacy Research Award — Best submitted paper ($5,000 prize)
2. Rising Financial Literacy Scholar Award — Best PhD student poster presentation ($1,000 prize)

Submit papers/abstracts by February 24, 2025, to StanfordIFDM@stanford.edu.
