Haewon Oh on limiting antidepressants

Why does South Korea have the highest suicide rate among OECD countries? The country's drug policies may play a part.

Haewon Oh is a PhD student at the University of Georgia. She sat down for an interview at the 2024 AEA poster session to talk about the impact of South Korea's efforts to limit the use of antidepressants. She found a significant change in suicidal behavior after the new drug policy was implemented.
