CSWEP Board: Lori Beaman
Lori Beaman is a Professor of Economics at Northwestern University. She is also a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab ( J-PAL). Beaman earned her B.A. from Northwestern University, and her PhD from Yale University.
Prof. Beaman is a development economist working on microeconomic issues, with research centered on the role of social networks in the labor market and in agriculture, and women's economic and social mobility. Her research has been published in journals such as the American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Review of Economic Studies and Science. She has won a National Science Foundation Career Award and received research funding from a variety of sources.
